Predictions - Volume VIII
Falsifiable Quantitative Micro-Precision and Constant Co-Variation Predictions
Volume VIII: Micro-Precision and Constant Co-Variation Domain
Status: Micro-Precision and Constant Co-Variation — Two Predictions
Prediction 1: Synchronized Constant Co-Variation
- Classification: Genuinely Novel Quantitative Structural Prediction
- Underlying Parameters: Vacuum Stiffness \(K=11.350\), Synthesis Pressure \(P=0.6900\), equilibrium exponents \(u_i,v_i\), constant-response matrix \(\mathbf M\), and the fundamental constants \(c,h,G,\alpha\).
- Core Mechanism: Fundamental physical constants are downstream equilibrium quantities governed by the substrate parameters: \[ C_i=\Omega_iK^{u_i}P^{v_i}. \] Taking the logarithmic differential gives \[ \frac{\Delta C_i}{C_i} = u_i\frac{\Delta K}{K} + v_i\frac{\Delta P}{P}. \] For \[ \mathbf C=(c,h,G,\alpha)^T, \] the complete response is \[ \begin{pmatrix} \Delta c/c\\ \Delta h/h\\ \Delta G/G\\ \Delta\alpha/\alpha \end{pmatrix} = \mathbf M \begin{pmatrix} \Delta K/K\\ \Delta P/P \end{pmatrix}, \] where \[ \mathbf M= \begin{pmatrix} u_c&v_c\\ u_h&v_h\\ u_G&v_G\\ u_\alpha&v_\alpha \end{pmatrix}. \] Therefore all genuine variations of the four constants occupy the two-dimensional substrate-response space \[ \Delta\mathbf C\in\operatorname{Im}(\mathbf M). \] If two independent constant variations satisfy \[ D_{ij}=u_iv_j-u_jv_i\neq0, \] the underlying substrate perturbations are uniquely reconstructed: \[ \frac{\Delta K}{K} = \frac{ v_j\,\Delta C_i/C_i - v_i\,\Delta C_j/C_j }{D_{ij}}, \] \[ \frac{\Delta P}{P} = \frac{ -u_j\,\Delta C_i/C_i + u_i\,\Delta C_j/C_j }{D_{ij}}. \] The remaining constant variations are then fixed: \[ \frac{\Delta C_k}{C_k} = u_k\frac{\Delta K}{K} + v_k\frac{\Delta P}{P}. \] Thus the framework predicts synchronized multi-constant variation rather than independent variation of individual constants.
- Observable / Test: High-precision atomic-clock comparisons, laboratory spectroscopy, astrophysical absorption spectra, and other precision measurements of \(c,h,G,\alpha\), testing whether measured variation vectors satisfy \[ \Delta\mathbf C\in\operatorname{Im}(\mathbf M) \] and whether two independently measured constant variations correctly predict the response of a third constant through the substrate-response relations.
- Localized Falsification: A reproducible variation vector \(\Delta\mathbf C\) lying outside the response space defined by \(\mathbf M\), or a third independently measured constant failing to satisfy \[ \frac{\Delta C_k}{C_k} = u_k\frac{\Delta K}{K} + v_k\frac{\Delta P}{P}, \] falsifies this specific synchronized constant co-variation prediction only. It does not, by itself, falsify Prediction 2.
Prediction 2: Exponential Precision Locking and Equilibrium Recovery
- Classification: Genuinely Novel Quantitative Dynamical Prediction
- Underlying Parameters: Equilibrium substrate values \(K_0=11.350\), \(P_0=0.6900\), substrate potential \(\Phi(K,P)\), Hessian \(H_\Phi\), positive Hessian eigenvalues \(\lambda_1,\lambda_2\), restoring coefficient \(\Gamma\), and physical constants \(C_i=f_i(K,P)\).
- Core Mechanism: The substrate equilibrium is the fixed point \[ (K_0,P_0)=(11.350,0.6900), \] satisfying \[ \nabla\Phi(K_0,P_0)=0. \] The Hessian \[ H_\Phi= \left. \begin{pmatrix} \partial^2\Phi/\partial K^2& \partial^2\Phi/\partial K\partial P\\ \partial^2\Phi/\partial P\partial K& \partial^2\Phi/\partial P^2 \end{pmatrix} \right|_{(K_0,P_0)} \] has positive eigenvalues \[ \lambda_1>0, \qquad \lambda_2>0. \] For a perturbation \[ \boldsymbol{\delta} = \begin{pmatrix} \delta K\\ \delta P \end{pmatrix}, \] the restoring dynamics is \[ \frac{d\boldsymbol{\delta}}{dt} = -\Gamma H_\Phi\boldsymbol{\delta}. \] Diagonalization gives \[ \delta_a(t) = \delta_a(0)e^{-\Gamma_a\lambda_a t}, \] and therefore \[ \|\boldsymbol{\delta}(t)\| \leq \|\boldsymbol{\delta}(0)\| e^{-\Gamma_{\min}\lambda_{\min}t}. \] Since \[ C_i=f_i(K,P), \] their departures from equilibrium obey \[ \left| \frac{\delta C_i(t)}{C_i} \right| \leq \|\mathbf s_i\| \|\boldsymbol{\eta}(0)\| e^{-\Gamma_{\min}\lambda_{\min}t}. \] The predicted relaxation therefore has the form \[ \delta C_i(t) = \delta C_i(0)e^{-t/\tau_i}, \] with \[ \tau_i^{-1}\sim\Gamma_i\lambda_i, \] and the asymptotic condition \[ \lim_{t\rightarrow\infty} \frac{\dot C_i}{C_i} = 0. \] The equilibrium values are \[ C_i(t)\rightarrow C_{i0}, \qquad C_{i0}=f_i(11.350,0.6900). \]
- Observable / Test: Long-duration atomic-clock comparisons, frequency-standard measurements, cavity-resonance experiments, precision spectroscopy, and other high-stability metrology experiments, together with controlled perturbations of the corresponding equilibrium state, testing for the predicted exponentially decaying restoring response.
- Localized Falsification: A reproducible secular variation that does not relax toward the equilibrium value, a persistent non-decaying perturbation inconsistent with \[ \delta C_i(t)\rightarrow0, \] or a systematic departure from the predicted exponential form \[ \delta C_i(t)\propto e^{-t/\tau_i} \] under a controlled perturbation falsifies this specific exponential precision-locking prediction only. It does not, by itself, falsify Prediction 1.
