Falsifiable Quantitative Predictions of Energy Scaling, Electroweak Restoration, Grand Unification, and Substrate Rebound
Volume IX: Energy Scaling, Interaction Convergence, and Substrate Dynamics Domain
Status: Energy Scaling, Electroweak Restoration, Grand Unification, and Substrate Rebound — Four Predictions
Prediction 1: Continuous Substrate-Governed Energy Scaling
- Classification: Genuinely Novel Quantitative Structural Prediction
- Underlying Parameters: Vacuum Stiffness \(K\), Synthesis Pressure \(P\), evolutionary coordinate \(x=P/K\), substrate-energy coefficient \(\beta\), Planck's constant \(\hbar\), and asymptotic coefficient \(\alpha_{\infty}=\hbar\sqrt{K}/\beta\).
- Core Mechanism: Physical energy is governed continuously by the canonical substrate-energy relation \[ E(x) = \hbar\sqrt{K}\, \frac{x^2}{1+\beta x}, \qquad x=\frac{P}{K}. \] The dimensionless scaling function is \[ f(x) = \frac{x^2}{1+\beta x}. \] For \[ x\ll1, \] the relation becomes \[ E(x)\sim\hbar\sqrt{K}\,x^2, \] while for \[ x\gg1, \] it becomes \[ E(x)\sim \frac{\hbar\sqrt{K}}{\beta}x = \alpha_{\infty}x. \] Thus the quadratic and linear regimes are limiting manifestations of one continuous substrate-energy function. For any threshold \(j\) characterized by \(x_j\), \[ E_j = \hbar\sqrt{K}\, \frac{x_j^2}{1+\beta x_j}. \] In particular, \[ E_{\mathrm{EW}}=E(x_{\mathrm{EW}}) \] and \[ E_{\mathrm{GUT}}=E(x_{\mathrm{GUT}}), \] with \[ x_{\mathrm{GUT}}\approx1.5\times10^{14}, \qquad E_{\mathrm{GUT}}\sim10^{16}\,\mathrm{GeV}. \]
- Observable / Test: Measured physical thresholds across the accessible energy range, including electroweak-scale measurements, high-energy particle observations, and future measurements probing progressively higher energy regimes, tested against the same continuous function \[ E(x) = \hbar\sqrt{K} \frac{x^2}{1+\beta x}. \]
- Localized Falsification: An experimentally established physical energy relation requiring a discontinuous energy law, an independent regime-specific energy function, or a functional dependence incompatible with \[ E(x) = \hbar\sqrt{K} \frac{x^2}{1+\beta x} \] falsifies this specific continuous energy-scaling prediction only. It does not, by itself, falsify Predictions 2, 3, or 4.
Prediction 2: Electroweak Threshold and Symmetry Restoration
- Classification: Genuinely Novel Quantitative Interaction-Threshold Prediction
- Underlying Parameters: Vacuum Stiffness \(K\), Synthesis Pressure \(P\), evolutionary coordinate \(x=P/K\), electroweak coupling functions \(\mathcal G_1(x)\) and \(\mathcal G_2(x)\), and the critical substrate ratio \(x_{\mathrm{EW}}\).
- Core Mechanism: The weak and hypercharge interaction sectors evolve according to \[ g_1=\mathcal G_1(x), \qquad g_2=\mathcal G_2(x), \qquad x=\frac{P}{K}. \] At lower substrate excitation, \[ g_1\neq g_2. \] As the substrate evolves toward the critical electroweak condition, increasing mode overlap reduces the distinction between the two sectors. The restoration condition is \[ g_1\approx g_2. \] The critical substrate ratio is \[ x_{\mathrm{EW}} = \left(\frac{P}{K}\right)_{\mathrm{EW}} \approx1.6. \] Evaluating the canonical energy relation at this substrate state gives \[ E_{\mathrm{EW}} = \hbar\sqrt{K}\, \frac{(1.6)^2}{1+1.6\beta} \approx110\,\mathrm{GeV}. \] The complete predicted correspondence is therefore \[ \frac{P}{K} \approx1.6 \quad\longrightarrow\quad E_{\mathrm{EW}}\approx110\,\mathrm{GeV} \quad\longrightarrow\quad g_1\approx g_2. \]
- Observable / Test: Precision measurements of electroweak-sector coupling evolution, high-energy electroweak observables, and interaction thresholds, testing the predicted substrate condition \[ x_{\mathrm{EW}}\approx1.6 \] and its associated energy \[ E_{\mathrm{EW}}\approx110\,\mathrm{GeV}. \]
- Localized Falsification: Experimentally established coupling evolution demonstrating that electroweak restoration does not occur at \[ \left(\frac{P}{K}\right)_{\mathrm{EW}}\approx1.6, \] or establishing an associated physical threshold incompatible with the canonical energy relation evaluated at that substrate state, falsifies this specific electroweak-threshold prediction only. It does not, by itself, falsify Predictions 1, 3, or 4.
Prediction 3: Substrate-Ratio-Driven Grand-Unification Convergence
- Classification: Genuinely Novel Quantitative Gauge-Unification Prediction
- Underlying Parameters: Vacuum Stiffness \(K\), Synthesis Pressure \(P\), evolutionary coordinate \(x=P/K\), gauge coupling functions \(\mathcal G_i(x)\), gauge beta coefficients \(b_i\), and the critical grand-unification substrate ratio \(x_{\mathrm{GUT}}\).
- Core Mechanism: The three gauge interaction strengths evolve as \[ g_i=\mathcal G_i(x), \qquad x=\frac{P}{K}, \qquad i=1,2,3. \] Their energy evolution satisfies \[ \frac{d}{d\ln E} \left( \frac{1}{g_i^2} \right) = -\frac{b_i}{8\pi^2}, \] while physical energy itself is determined by \[ E=E(x). \] Grand unification occurs when \[ g_1=g_2=g_3. \] The corresponding substrate threshold is \[ x_{\mathrm{GUT}} = \left( \frac{P}{K} \right)_{\mathrm{GUT}} \approx1.5\times10^{14}. \] Since \[ x_{\mathrm{GUT}}\gg1, \] the asymptotic energy relation gives \[ E_{\mathrm{GUT}} \sim \alpha_{\infty}x_{\mathrm{GUT}} \sim10^{16}\,\mathrm{GeV}. \] The complete correspondence is therefore \[ \frac{P}{K} \approx1.5\times10^{14} \quad\longrightarrow\quad E_{\mathrm{GUT}}\sim10^{16}\,\mathrm{GeV} \quad\longrightarrow\quad g_1\approx g_2\approx g_3. \]
- Observable / Test: Precision measurements of gauge-coupling evolution and high-energy interaction behavior, together with experimental constraints associated with grand-unified physics, testing whether the coupling trajectories converge at the substrate-derived threshold \[ x_{\mathrm{GUT}}\approx1.5\times10^{14} \] and corresponding energy scale \[ E_{\mathrm{GUT}}\sim10^{16}\,\mathrm{GeV}. \]
- Localized Falsification: Experimentally established gauge-coupling trajectories that fail to converge at the substrate-derived threshold, or an experimentally inferred convergence scale incompatible with the energy obtained from the canonical substrate-energy relation, falsifies this specific grand-unification convergence prediction only. It does not, by itself, falsify Predictions 1, 2, or 4.
Prediction 4: Mechanical Substrate Rebound and Inflation-Like Primordial Expansion
- Classification: Genuinely Novel Quantitative Cosmological Prediction
- Underlying Parameters: Vacuum Stiffness \(K(z)\), Synthesis Pressure \(P(z)\), evolutionary coordinate \(P(z)/K(z)\), primordial pressure-dominated expansion rate \(H(z)\), and the radiation-dominated scaling exponent.
- Core Mechanism: The earliest cosmological regime corresponds to extreme substrate excitation and high synthesis pressure: \[ P(z)\gg K(z), \] so that \[ \frac{P(z)}{K(z)}\gg1. \] In this pressure-dominated regime, \[ H^2(z)\sim P(z), \] and therefore \[ H(z)\sim\sqrt{P(z)}. \] For radiation-dominated scaling, \[ P(z)\propto(1+z)^4, \] giving \[ H(z)\propto(1+z)^2. \] Rapid primordial expansion is therefore the mechanical rebound of an extremely compressed substrate: \[ \text{Extreme Compression} \longrightarrow \text{High Synthesis Pressure} \longrightarrow \text{Mechanical Rebound} \longrightarrow \text{Rapid Expansion}. \] The expansion rate decreases naturally as the substrate evolves away from the extreme pressure-dominated state: \[ P/K\gg1 \quad\longrightarrow\quad P/K\downarrow \quad\longrightarrow\quad H\downarrow. \]
- Observable / Test: Cosmic Microwave Background observations, primordial fluctuation measurements, tensor-to-scalar constraints, high-redshift expansion measurements, and other observational probes of primordial cosmological dynamics, testing \[ H(z)\sim\sqrt{P(z)} \] and, in the radiation-dominated regime, \[ H(z)\propto(1+z)^2. \]
- Localized Falsification: Precision cosmological observations establishing an early expansion history incompatible with the pressure-driven relation \[ H(z)\sim\sqrt{P(z)}, \] or demonstrating that the observed primordial evolution cannot be represented through the pressure-dominated substrate evolution, falsifies this specific mechanical substrate-rebound prediction only. It does not, by itself, falsify Predictions 1, 2, or 3.
